About Booking.com's Connected Trips
Booking.com's Connected Trips allows you to earn commissions when users book cars, flights, or activities during the same browsing session after clicking your accommodation link.
Even if your content only links to accommodations, users may continue browsing other travel options during that same session and those bookings would still be attributed to you.
How Connected Trips Works
Connected Trips uses session-based attribution.
It captures additional traveler intent during the same visit, giving you bonus revenue without changing your existing monetization setup.
When a user clicks an accommodation link on your site, a session begins. If they continue browsing on Booking.com and book additional travel services during that same session, such as a flight, car rental, or activity, those bookings will be attributed to you.
For example:
- A reader clicks your accommodation link
- They browse on Booking.com
- During the same session, they book a flight, car or activity
- You earn a bonus commission for the additional booking
You will still earn commissions for these bookings even if no accommodation is booked.
This is why you may see flights, car rentals, or activities reflected in your transactions. Use the category filter to see each commission type.

Connected Trips vs Accommodation Commissions
Car rental, flight, and activity commissions work differently than accommodation commissions, which is why the amounts can sometimes look surprisingly low at first glance.
Stay22’s partnerships are primarily designed around accommodations, where commissions are:
- Percentage-based
- Typically more substantial
Some suppliers we work with (such as Booking.com or Expedia) also allow monetization of other travel categories like flights and car rentals, but these are usually paid as a small fixed amount per booking, rather than a percentage.
These bookings are bonus revenue, not core earners.
They capture existing user intent without requiring any extra effort on your end.
How LinkSwap Monetizes Connected Trips
LinkSwap automatically monetizes supported Booking.com links in your content.
If you want to intentionally link to a flight, car rental, activity, or accommodation, simply paste the Booking.com link into your website and the Stay22 script will monetize it automatically.
- Users may still browse across categories (flights, cars, activities) during the same session
- Connected Trips commissions will be generated even if your original link was for accommodation
Using the Allez Generator for Flights, Cars, and Activities
If you want more control, you can use the Allez Generator to create direct links to:
- Flights
- Car rentals
- Activities
These categories are currently supported through Booking.com and Expedia. Commission structures for these bookings differ from accommodations and may vary by partner.
This is optional.
Using the Allez Generator allows you to intentionally surface other travel categories when it makes sense for your content. This is great for social media, emails, PDFs, and more.
No Setup Changes Required
No action is required.
Connected Trips works automatically through your existing Stay22 setup:
- Accommodation links continue to work as usual
- LinkSwap helps monetize eligible links automatically
- The Allez Generator is available if you want to add direct links to other travel categories
You can continue focusing on accommodation-driven content while earning incremental revenue from Connected Trips.
FAQ
Does Connected Trips affect my accommodation commission?
No. Connected Trips captures additional bookings made within the same session. Accommodation commissions are not affected, and any flights, car rentals, or activities booked during the same session generate bonus revenue
Can I see which bookings were generated through Connected Trips?
Yes. Eligible bookings will appear in your Hub reporting alongside your other transactions.
Do Connected Trips commissions apply if a user doesn’t book accommodations in the same session?
Yes. You will still earn commissions for eligible bookings even if no accommodations are booked during that session. So, even if the user doesn’t book an accommodation you’ll get the extra commission from flights, cars, and activities.
What happens if a user books multiple categories in one session?
You earn commissions for each eligible booking. Accommodation commissions remain unaffected, and additional bookings generate bonus revenue.
