How Nova Detects Travel Intent

Nova, our AI booking agent, generates net new revenue without taking up real estate on your website. It does so by making recommendations to your readers, based on their travel intent.

So how does Nova gauge a reader's travel intent?

On any given page, Nova identifies beacons which tell it that a user has travel intent.

Examples of beacons:

  • reader's location
  • destination(s) mentioned on the page
  • number of pages a reader has checked on the site
  • scrolling patterns
  • and much more (it's our special sauce, we can't reveal them all 😉)

Once a user interacts with enough beacons that pass Nova's threshold, Nova will trigger and offer them an accommodation to book, that is directly relevant to the destination they are interested in.

In this way, Nova only delivers relevant offers to readers who are interested in travelling, hence its extremely high conversion rate, without hurting the reader's overall experience and enjoyment of the site.

As a reminder, Nova only triggers to around 5% of users, and only once every 40 days.
