We’ll be running a limited test for credit card offers via Nova, exploring whether readers engage with this type of offer, which could open up another way for your site to earn alongside the travel offers your readers already see.
What is this test about?
We're testing a Chase Freedom Unlimited credit card offer, through FinanceBuzz. It's a limited experiment to explore an additional monetization opportunity.
Less than 1% of eligible US Nova traffic may see a Chase Freedom Unlimited credit-card offer in a background tab via our Nova solution.
We want to learn whether a credit card offer is relevant to your US readers and can add value alongside the travel offers they're used to seeing. This test is how we find out.
How does it work?
This test runs on Nova, working the same way it always has. When a reader shows certain intent signals, Nova opens a background tab to surface an offer. For this test, that background tab will occasionally show the Chase Freedom Unlimited credit card offer to less than 1%, of your eligible US traffic.
You don't need to update or change anything in your content for your readers to see this offer. Nova shows this offer to a small portion of your readers automatically.

Readers booking travel are often thinking about how to pay for it, or earn rewards and cash back on a big purchase, and a credit card like Chase Freedom Unlimited sits right next to that moment. This test is how we find out if it’s actually relevant to them.
This is a test, not a launch, and travel offers stay at the core of what Nova does.
What will my readers see?
Your readers may occasionally see the Chase Freedom Unlimited credit-card offer. Most readers won't see it, since it only applies to a very small portion of eligible US traffic.
Do I need to change anything on my site?
No changes to your content or implementation are required. Nova continues to work exactly as it does today; this test only affects what a small portion of eligible US traffic may occasionally see.
Do I get paid for approved applications?
Yes. As a token of appreciation for your participation in this test, you'll get $90 for each approved application for the Chase Freedom Unlimited card.
Can I track performance during this test?
Applications are tracked from day one, so you won’t miss any earnings. They won’t show in the Hub right at launch, but we’ll make them visible there as soon as reporting is ready.

The cookie window for this offer is 90 days.
How long does the test run?
The test will start on October 26th and will run for about four weeks. We'll confirm the exact start date soon and will share it at least 48 hours before the test goes live . You’ll also get an email once it’s running.
How will you decide whether the test worked?
We’ll look at how readers engage with the offer and explore where it adds an additional earning value. Based on our findings from this experiment we will iterate and optimize the experiment for success. We’ll keep you updated on what’s next.
